Dr. Pietras has been in veterinary medicine for 7 years (actively practicing for almost 2) and is a graduate of Cornell University's veterinary program and is currently studying population genetics at the University of Florida. She has Aslan (her big white dog) and a cockatiel (Cloud) She is passionate about helping both her community and the natural world, she also enjoys crocheting, salsa dancing, playing sand volleyball and crossfit workouts. She is currently a PhD student at UF studying the Black-footed Ferret in order to save this endangered species and gain skills to save many others.
