Veterinary Technicians

Eva at Countryside Animal Hospital

My name is Christina I was born in Miami FL in 1992. I grew up in Pennsylvania but moved to Florida at age 10. I graduated from Riverdale high school in Fort Myers Florida in 2010 with a GPA of 3.4. I attended Edison state university for undergrad classes while figuring out what my calling was. I moved to lake city Florida in 2012, where I finally decided to attend city college in Gainesville to become a certified veterinary technician. I began this journey in 2016. After an internship at Countryside, I joined the team here as an assistant while still attending school. I graduated in March of 2018 and am now a full time technician here at Countryside. I have always had a passion for animals and will continue to care for God's little creatures.

Hunter at Countryside Animal Hospital

Hunter Martin moved to Gainesville from Tysons Corner, Virginia. He has been a certified veterinary technician since 2007 but has worked in the veterinary field since 2004. He did not take the typical course in academia and instead traveled and studied at different Universities and Colleges across the country. He graduated from the Veterinary Technician Institute in Pittsburgh, PA. He studied architecture at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Zoology at Miami University in Oxford, OH and studied at Santa Fe College teaching zoo in Gainesville, FL.

Hunter has worked and held positions in many hospital settings including emergency, exotic medicine, general practice, specialty clinics and shelters. Hunter is currently employed by Countryside Animal Hospital as well as City College, and he is a member of NAVTA and the ARAV. The areas of Anesthesia, analgesia management, and dentistry are topics and skills he has spent a lot of his continuing education focusing on. He hopes to continue to grow in this field and has never regretted getting started in veterinary medicine. Ultimately it is the need to care for animals that has kept his interest and has led him to want to share and teach his experiences with others.

Animal Care Specialists

Kaitlin at Countryside Animal Hospital

I was born in Winter Haven, Florida but in third grade, I moved permanently up to Ocala, Florida where I still reside. Right out of high school I attended college at CF earning a degree in Computer Science, soon after I realized this was not what I wanted to do with my life or career! Joining the team of Countryside has opened my eyes to new possibilities. I love helping the animals and I’m learning so much from my co-workers as well. I have two dogs, both German shepherd mixes, and two cats. I enjoy playing video games, books, and I’m a big fan of movies.

Cynthia at Countryside Animal Hospital

Cynthia moved to Florida from New York City in 2016 and started the Veterinary Technology Program at City College that same year. She will be graduating at the end of 2018 and eventually wants to continue her education, specializing in surgical assistance or equine services. She is very enthusiastic about continued growth in the field. She believes that the day she started helping animals was the day she discovered her purpose. Cynthia came to Countryside as an extern from City College. Her commitment to our clients and pets made her a natural fit as a more permanent part of our team. Cynthia shares her home with a 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog and a 5 year old cat who are dearly loved!
Cynthia loves to ride horses and go for long walks with her dog.
She is incredibly excited with what the future has in store for her.

Ann at Countryside Animal Hospital

I'm so proud to join the Countryside Animal Hospital team! I was born and raised in Southern California, AND YES I'm a BIG Dodger Fan. I have always loved animals. As a child, my Dad raised chickens, ducks, turkeys & rabbits, and also boarded horses for years. For the past couple years, we have been "pet-less", but I think that will be changing very soon. I have been in the Veterinary field for 6 years now, and retired from AT&T after 33 years. I've been married to Gordon for 31 ½ years. I have 2 sons, James & Kevin, 1 daughter-in-law Mel & 1 BEAUTIFUL grand-daughter Sadie Jo, who all reside in Texas.
